Greetings Prosperous Souls,
This afternoon we’ll discuss the idea of dreaming. Why is it so important? Allow me to illustrate with a story from my own life.
Back in the day, I hit a rough patch—I was depressed, drained, and dependent on medication just to make it through the week. Little did I know, I was tiptoeing on the edge of a full-blown nervous breakdown.
But why was I hitting rock bottom? Years of grinding away at 80-hour workweeks, without a single weekend break to recharge.
Not only was I juggling the responsibilities of being the CFO at a booming non-profit, but I was also running my own growing side business. My plate was overflowing, and the relentless grind was chipping away at my inner peace.
When my misery hit its peak, I confessed to my boss, Danny Silk, “I think I’m falling apart. I can’t feel anything.”
Danny, with his characteristic wisdom, said, “Sounds like you need a break. Take a few days off.”
I took his advice and wrapped up my week early, giving myself a much-needed 3-day weekend. I made a conscious effort to disconnect from work and focus on recharging my batteries.
And you know what? This simple act of self-care saved my sanity.
What started as a brief hiatus has now become a core principle of my teachings: the power of rest.
Rest gave me the ability to dream. It enabled me to envision what I want for the future.
This isn’t a Name it and Claim it message. It’s a simple truth that reveals—when you’re stressed to the max, it’s impossible to envision hope for what lies ahead.
Today, ask God, “What dreams do You want me to steward?” Are there any outlandish ideas that seem impossible, but are actually filled with God’s design?
If you don’t know how to dream, join our afternoon session today at 3:30 PM ( CA time). We’ll discuss how to activate your inner dreamer and break free from exhaustion.
