Greetings Prosperous Souls,
Today we’ll start chapter 1 of my manual: Prosperous Soul Foundations. The subject of our lesson is Stewardship.
This is a subject that gets covered a lot. But what is it?
According to Dictionary.com, stewardship is “the responsible overseeing and protection of something considered worth caring for and preserving.”
Stewardship involves physical wealth. But it also encompasses family, health, and emotions—true riches.
At Prosperous Soul, we understand that intangibles are superior, but we don’t shy away from strengthening our finances.
The Test of Wealth
In my opinion, one of the biggest challenges stewards face is The Test of Wealth.
This is when people experience unexpected blessing, but have no capacity (or character) to carry it.
Point is, it’s easy to pursue God when we need a financial breakthrough. When our bills add up and there’s no way out, it compels us to go to the Lord.
Now, I’m not discounting anyone’s financial difficulty. I’ve been there myself.
But there’s a maturity available to us—and it looks like stewarding our hearts well in the midst of hardship and excess.
