Greetings Prosperous Soul,

For the past few weeks, our meetings have centered on my wife’s devotional, Prayers, Declarations, and Strategies for Shifting Atmospheres. If you don’t have a copy, I suggest you get one!

I like this mini-book because it focuses on our spiritual authority in Christ. The core message is that we must intercede from a place of strength, not fear.

In other words, we should never battle on the enemy’s turf. When contending for something, we have to minister from our position in the third heaven, where we are seated with Christ in the heavenlies.

Boundaries in prayer

This concept of second and third heaven has me thinking about our boundaries in prayer, meaning, what does God actually want us to pray for?

Is it possible to pray incorrectly out of our own will? If so, does that take us out of our spiritual assignment and leave us open to attack?

I take some of this questioning from the Apostle Paul’s journey in Acts when the Holy Spirit forbid him to minister in particular areas:
