Greetings Prosperous Souls,
Today is the grand finale of my book club, Money and the Prosperous Soul. I realize that I said our last session was 2 weeks ago, but I was wrong!
So let’s talk about my final chapter: the Art of Purpose.
I first began my journey with purpose after I discovered a book by Victor Frankl: Man’s Search for Meaning.
Now, Frankl penned this masterpiece while he was in a Nazi concentration camp. He had no access to pen or paper, so he wrote the entire book in his mind.
Talk about a massive undertaking!
Frankl’s book is full of inspirational quotes, but the one that impacted me the most is:
“Those who have a 'why' to live, can bear with almost any 'how'.”
Those who have a why…
Profound. But what does it actually mean?
Purpose, I believe, answers the question, Why are you alive?
Tragically, most people overlook their why. They end up depressed, overworked, or burnt out.
As Prosperous Souls, our task is to know our God-given purpose and pursue it with a full heart.
Frankl ended up losing everything in those camps: his possessions, his freedom, even his beloved wife.
Somehow, he survived the horrors of World War 2 and went on to become one of the most influential thinkers of the 20th century.
How’d he do it?
Frankl understood his purpose.
My question to you is—do you know yours?
