Say "yes" to the adventure God has for you
Fear will always say no to adventure, especially the adventure of purpose.
When God says, “You could do this with your life,” fear says, “No, I couldn’t!”
When God says, “I want you to go do this thing,” fear quickly lists all the reasons it wouldn’t work out.
When God says, “I want you to start this business,” or “I want you to apply for that promotion at work,” fear shouts, “No! I can’t do that! I’m going to fail!”
Fear is often joined by other voices as well, and they all want to tell God no: selfish ambition, exhaustion, shame, etc.
A poverty spirit cannot look at the good things of God with hope and capacity. It wants to say no to Him and hide away.
But humility says yes every time God speaks.
“Okay, God, I will do that. I feel like You are leading me to take a risk here. I feel like You have given me permission to pursue this crazy dream of mine—so I am going to say yes. And then I am going to do whatever I need to do to see this dream fulfilled.”
Selfish ambition is based around humans and what we want from a human perspective, but godly ambition is based around God and what He has told us to do.
When we are filled with godly ambition, we are resilient and unaffected by our circumstances. We are not moved by bad days, scary situations, hard times, or financial storms. These things do not have the power to stop us or to turn us aside from what God has told us.
Godly ambition does not and will not be led by fear.
I encourage you to think through your yes.
Godly ambition—the strength and determination to go after what God is saying—is much more aggressive and active than many people understand. It is humility in action because it will always say yes to the Lord.
How could you strengthen your yes to God this week?
Here are some simple ideas:
Read Acts 20:18–24, where Paul describes godly ambition.
Memorize those verses or another passage that encourages you to keep going.
Spend time with the Lord, and pray about who you are.
Ask the Lord, “What do You want me to do? What have You assigned to me?”
You are a child of God and an heir of His kingdom. There is no reason for you to live in fear. So say yes to the good things God wants to give you, and don’t quit until you can tell Him, “Look, Lord. I have done everything You told me to do.”

HOW THE ORPHAN MINDSET CRIPPLES OUR SUCCESS WITH MONEY
It may surprise you, but the most important thing you need to know to be successful with money is your identity. I’m not talking about your name or personal hobbies. I’m referring to understanding deep down who you are and what you are called to do.
