Hello Financial Healers,
I trust you all had a wonderful Christmas. Dawna and I were home this year while our kids were relaxing with their wives’ families. Our house was a little empty, but we still had fun.
In today’s meeting, I want to talk about New Years Resolutions. I decided to discuss this topic after my oldest son mentioned to me earlier this month, “I feel so discouraged. I’ve made so many bad decisions in my finances and my health. I feel stuck.”
My son was echoing what many feel when facing difficult situations. It’s easy to feel trapped when tackling a mountain of debt, relationship struggles, or poor health.
The truth is, though, my son isn’t stuck. He, like anyone, can take small steps to effect huge change in the years ahead.
I asked Cory, “What can you do today to shift your trajectory toward a better future?”
He thought for a moment and said, “Running every day for 20 minutes feels like a good start.” He admitted this change was small, but it felt powerful.
This week’s assignment
I want you all to answer the same question: what small but powerful changes can you make today to reap blessing in your future? These changes can be in your marriage, your career, or your relationship with Jesus. Whatever you decide to improve, make sure the goals you set feel realistic and powerful.
If you have questions about New Years Resolutions, bring them to today’s My Money Time session. We’ll help you craft a strategy that feels positive and hopeful.
