Hello Financial Healers,
Here’s a fun testimony (with permission to share). As many of you know, I worked with a client in January who was $20,000 in credit card debt. He could barely afford groceries and rent, and was greatly discouraged. You can read about his journey here:
And here:
And finally, here:
In this post, I’ll share how God provided for his situation.
God delivers!
My client was made aware of his problem in January 2023 when he contacted a debt consolidation company. The firm ran his numbers and claimed that if nothing changed he’d be debt free in 20 years.
20 years?!!!
Imagine how much wealth would be lost in interest payments! It’s hard to fathom.
Now, I’m not one of those who claim credit cards are evil. Some financial speakers don’t even use credit cards. (Bonus to them!) But sometimes, using credit cards is unavoidable. If you use them, pay them off immediately to stay ahead of interest.
In my client’s case, mounting medical expenses forced him further into debt. His entire plan hinged on his health insurance bringing in swift reimbursements. Only problem is… the reimbursements didn’t come. For 1 month. 2 months. 3 months.
1 year later, this man had grown so much debt he was headed toward bankruptcy. He needed a plan. And he needed it now.
Financial breakthrough
My client and I met and crafted a payment strategy. We prayed for God’s provision and asked for a supernatural windfall.
And guess what?
The windfall arrived! The insurance company came through, and unexpected checks from friends and family showed up.
My client shoveled all this money into debt. (And built a small emergency fund.) Now he’s on his way to a debt-free life. Not bad, eh?
The company claimed he’d be on a 20 year journey to breakthrough, but God brought that down to 3 months. It’s amazing what God can do.
What to do if you feel stuck
If you’re facing a mountain of debt, be encouraged: God can turn any situation around. Yes, we need to do our part, but a large portion of our success is relying on God’s goodness.
So, stay hopeful. Craft a payment strategy. Make drastic changes to your lifestyle. And, of course, pray.
P.S: if you’re stressed about debt and want to create a payment strategy, you can schedule an appointment with me here. 👇
