You are on the right track.
Don't let comparison discourage you
Greetings Prosperous Soul,
There’s an old saying: “Rome wasn’t built in a day.” The same can be said for someone who’s climbing out of financial pain.
One of my clients, who had a financial trauma two years ago, is finally on the straight and narrow. However, he and his wife still have a ways to go.
“It may seem like stability is a long way off,” I told them, “but just look at your trajectory. Two years prior, you were heading toward disaster. Now, in a few years, you’ll be sitting in a new home and building a positive net worth.”
What makes the journey so tricky is that we compare ourselves to others who are further along. We see them lapping us and think, Why am I so far behind?
The truth is you will become a success. Your finances will turn around and your children will benefit from the decisions you’ve made. But the healing process takes time, so be patient.
Your Homework for This Week
Take a step back and realize you are much further than you think. Millions of people are struggling. Keep taking steps in the right direction and stop comparing yourself to others.
God bless your Prosperous Soul,
